Rhukaan Draal

Festival of the Mockery

Hellyug in his talks with the Goblin Muse reveals his dragon-mark to her when she is puzzled not knowing of any prophecy and learns that such Dragonmarks are considered an Aberration by the Dragon Mark Houses. These he learns can hold curses and be dangerous to their bearers, Lord Luusi Ir'Velderan himself  felt beneath his fingers the movement of such a mark when they earlier appear upon on Party in the City of Sharn. Rhukaan Draal started its great day of Ritual Murder and three of us ventured out into the dead streets so Our Artificer Reporter Jebbiddle could get a news story about The Mockery a festival held for the God of Murder and Betrayal in the pantheon of the Soveriegn Host . While the rest of us could deal to personal business.

Hellyug looking for allies in his cause of recognition as the Wordbearers new Leader, he signs a deal with Lord Luusi to gain the necessary money needed and his promised to share the information he gathers. Lord Luusi himself works towards gaining a Mining contract which looks hopeful, yet needs favor from the House Orien for Transportation needs but they are being hindered by House Deneith, they will help if Luusi can track down some rogue Orien House Lords for them.

The Reporting starts A goblin child is found with throat slit Jebbiddle disgusted draws a quick sketch, our weary group watches as he interviews terrified guards in the human quarter. We decide to take refuge in a empty brothel  Jebbiddle sitting at the window to watch the action outside unfold

there is a knock at the door, Jerziphat (Ruus of the Kech Volaar) stands with 3 of his troop. Trustingly we swing open the door in welcome, then right away he sights Hellyug he ears go pointedly backward in a fit of rage and he commands his lads to attack. We gain the upper hand in the battle early and they start to flee but we chase them down and kill them in the spirit of the festival, We decide to be quiet about it however for the sake of diplomacy.

Heading back to our quarters we are attacked by 3 bugbear assassins who nearly throttle and flay Luusi early, but he manages to throw some good die with death ( my blessed D20 having rolled to 20s in a row in the necessary moments, 18 more luck rolls in it left , thanks Anna ) Jebbiddle artifices  a willing servant from a nearby rain barrow and piece of spouting which hit at them with the gusto of a downpour. So after a seeming desperate battle we manage to conquer in the end but who hired these henchman to attack us is yet unknown.

As the night approachs everyone breathes a sigh of relief and the feasts are started. Young Goblins run out in the street to find the dead and a head count is offer as neighbours gossip about the fallen.

Hellyug notices the Ruus of Kech Sharaat angered over the death of his tribal enemy Jerziphat and wonders why the death of his enemy should enrage him so much…

Are their Clans working together against the Wordbearers Clan now that they are without a Leader ?.
